Haven’t meditated in a while. I was a little skeptical at first but I was
fully relaxed by the end of it (with headphones). Give it a try and don’t
have a goal in mind—just be aware of your body 🙂

Thing is, people want all the rewards with the click of a finger, because
we’re used to everything being handed to us. If you want to even come close
to the level of ‘mindfullness’ (or whatever you want to call it) of
Buddhists, you’re going to have to pour hours into meditation every week.
Just like if you want a good body, you’ve gotta work for it. You want good
grades, you gotta work for it. You want good relationships, you gotta work
for it. Same with everything worthwhile in life. Instant gratification is
only possible when the gratifying object actually does you harm in the long
run, e.g. fatty foods, sugary drinks, video games, television, internet,
drugs, pornography etc. Good things that benefit you and help you grow need
to be worked on and fought for relentlessly, not obtained in an instant.
